Located in the heart of the country, in the Dealu Mare region, the Apogeum vineyard was inaugurated in 2018, and capitalises on 3 historical landmarks: a vineyard over 50 years old, a place full of royal history and a unique winemaking method in Romania.
Here, wines are made like 2,000 years ago, in ceramic amphorae using methods known only to the winery's owner Virgil Mandru. The grapes come from an old vineyard over 50 years old, hand-picked, sorted berry by berry by the owner and his family. Aging is done in French oak barrels for 2 years, then stored in cellars where they mature in bottles for a minimum of 2 years.
Subsequently, samples are sent to world-renowned competitions and only after obtaining a gold medal are they put on sale.

Olfactory, it delights with its finesse and elegance, and the notes of ripe plums, blackcurrants and juicy blackberries come together with spices reminiscent of Mediterranean balsamic herbs. Spicy herbs subtly outline the impressive aroma. Vanilla, red pepper and fine chocolate sensations. Sublime and full taste, concrete from the first sip, does not leave the palate indifferent. Sweetness of red forest fruits, cherries, dried plums and a balsamic finish, reminiscent of liquorice. Soft and velvety tannins, elegantly seduce the taster.
