To begin with, ROM spoke about the era in which the famous bar was just making its debut, the time of communism. Romanian thrills continued to exist long after the ’90s and ROM brought them to the surface with much humour and subtle irony.
After the success of these campaigns, ROM gained confidence and challenged Romanians to be proud of their national identity. Keeping its amusing and ironic tone, the bar managed to move an entire nation and make its efforts heard beyond the borders. ROM’s campaigns transformed the little communist-born bar into a relevant voice of the new generation and these efforts were appreciated and rewarded with numerous local and international awards.
So beloved by Romanians, ROM Authentic felt it was time to expand its range. The famous bar was gradually joined by other bars, each more delicious than the last, as well as an ice cream to match. Then the authentic ROM taste evolved into biscuits, caramels and even a glazed cake.
