Pelin de Urlati is a Romanian product that connects the tradition of the places with the view, following an ancient recipe of immersing wormwood in wine. The synergy between essential oils extracted from aromatic plants and wine results in a drink that is friendly to the human body and has therapeutic effects. Pelin de Urlati is recognised as the first product of this type in Romania.
It is obtained from Sauvignon Blanc grapes carefully selected and vinified by modern techniques that give it a yellow colour with greenish hues. It is charactersed by the fresh aromas of apples, pears and quinces with a slight hint of elderflower and rose, but also an essence of fresh spices. It is defined, therefore, by the complexity of aromas, but also by the balance offered in the long-lasting and accentuated taste.
The product is natural, without added alcohol or synthetic flavours. It can be a digestif, aperitif, or meal companion. It is a wine that will last longer than ordinary white wines, up to 6 - 7 years.
