Attention: this is not a traditional Romanian palinca.
Making the most of the area’s potential, Liliac Winery has enriched its portfolio with a grappa infused with a Transylvanian spirit.
The drink, originally Italian, is produced locally from Muscat Ottonel grape pomace, slowly and evenly ripened to preserve aromas and maintain a good level of acidity.
Fermentation of the grapes remaining after pressing the must takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, while distillation uses modern equipment to create a classic grappa with fruity and vegetal aromas.
Liliac The Spirit of Transylvania is expressed through fresh muscat notes and the depth and body characteristic of pomace, while the perfectly balanced taste, between slightly sweet and spicy, is completed by aromas of acacia flowers, fruit jam and an oriental hint of green tea.
The long and elegant finish recommends Liliac Spirit of Transylvania as an accompaniment to a good coffee enjoyed during a friendly conversation, or as a digestif, served at room temperature in a small glass, where it can be allowed to aerate for a few minutes before tasting.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Fresh floral fragrance, fruit jam and lightly perceptible vegetal accents.
Palate: Flavours of acacia flowers, complemented by delicate notes of lemon and gooseberry, with an oriental hint of green tea.
Finish: Long and elegant, with vibrant fruity notes.
