Journey to the heart of Georgia with Guremani Mukuzani, a dry red wine that exemplifies the bold character and depth of Georgia’s famed Saperavi grape. From the celebrated Mukuzani micro-zone in the Kakheti region, this wine is crafted to reflect both tradition and terroir.
Tasting notes
Colour: Deep ruby with garnet edges, rich and inviting.
Aroma: Ripe black cherry and dark berry fruits mingle with subtle floral hints, warm spice and a whisper of oak.
Palate: Dry and full-bodied, with concentrated flavours of blackberry, plum, and blackcurrant. Oak aging brings in nuances of tobacco, dark chocolate and gentle smoke. The tannins are structured yet elegant, leading to a long, lingering finish.
Style & pairing
Best enjoyed at 16–18°C to allow full expression of its aromas and structure. Match it with hearty dishes: grilled or roasted red meats (beef, lamb, venison), game, stews, mushrooms, or mature cheeses. Also superb with dark chocolate desserts or rich sauces.
Heritage & craft
Mukuzani is one of Georgia’s most distinguished appellations. What sets Mukuzani apart is extended oak aging (often for at least three years), which adds complexity and depth. It is widely regarded as a premium expression of Saperavi, often awarded in international competitions.
