Discover the ancient elegance of Georgia in every glass with Guremani Kisi Qvevri, an amber-wine that carries the legacy of over 8,000 years of winemaking. Harvested from the Kisi grape, this wine is matured in traditional Georgian qvevri, huge clay vessels buried underground, where it develops its rich character and unique texture.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Deep golden amber, with warmed-honey tones and a luminous glow.

Nose: Aromas of dried apricot, wild honey, orange peel and a touch of stone fruit; subtle spice and resinous undertones.

Palate: A balance of crisp acidity and rounded body, flavours of golden apple, quince, and citrus rind mingled with herbal, nutty hints. Silky tannins, a whisper of bitterness and a long, lingering finish.

Style & Pairing

Dry and complex, this amber wine bridges white and orange wine styles. Serve chilled at about 12-14°C to let its aromatic intensity shine. Ideal with dishes that match its texture and depth, think grilled fish with herbs, roasted poultry, Asian cuisine (especially slightly spicy or citrusy), aged cheeses, or even richly flavoured vegetarian dishes.

Georgia is celebrated as the "Cradle of Wine," a land with over 8,000 years of winemaking heritage. Here, the art of viticulture began as early as the Neolithic period, with wine crafted in ancient pre-Qvevri vessels, a tradition that has endured and evolved through millennia.

Even the word "wine" itself reflects Georgia's influence. Linguists trace its origin in European languages, vinum, vin, wine, wein, вино, back to the Georgian word “ghvino".

Diversity defines the wine regions of Georgia, each offering its own unique character shaped by distinct soils, climates and traditions. Home to 525 indigenous grape varieties, nearly one-sixth of the world’s total, Georgia offers an unparalleled diversity of flavours and wine styles.
