Like the roots of an oak tree, with dozens of branches firmly anchored in the soil, the Davidescu family has devoted generations to their passion for winemaking.
Their love for wine and the land began with grandfather Ilie Davidescu. Together with his wife, Parascovia, he worked tirelessly for the prosperity of the family and cultivated 18 hectares of vineyards.
Their legacy remains intact to this day. This craftsmanship was passed down to his son and grandchildren who, with dedication and perseverance, continue their grandfather's work, creating impeccable wines that evoke the spirit of traditional songs and dances and the sweetness of honeycombs in every drop.
Since 2024, Domeniile Davidescu has held the prestigious status of Supplier to the Romanian Royal House, an emblematic recognition of its quality and authenticity.
Domeniile Davidescu Rara Neagra & Saperavi is a dry red wine aged in French oak barriques. It offers aromas of ripe plums and black cherries, complemented by delicate notes of cinnamon and vanilla. Velvety on the palate, with hints of chocolate and a harmonious finish. Ideal with roast lamb, pasta with tomato-based sauces or game meats.
Winemaking: Aged for 6 months in French oak barriques.
Nose: The sophisticated bouquet of this blend benefits from a short period of aeration, revealing aromas of black cherries, hints of cinnamon, fresh bread and a subtle note of liquorice.
Colour: Intense ruby-red.
