Crama Delta Dunarii La Sapata Feteasca Regala is an organic and artisanal orange wine, fermented with wild yeast and unfiltered. This wine is produced in the South-East part of Romania in the region called Dobrogea and is considered part of the great wines of the Danube delta.
After hand picking in small crates, meticulous sorting in the winery, pressed and 100% spontaneous wild fermentation, the wine here is left with 6 months of maceration on skins and seeds and it is bottled unfiltered.
Colour:Beautiful orange-golden amber.
Nose:Complex aromas of apricots, peaches, lychee, bergamot and some fresh and uplifting citrus.
Palate: The taste appears more typically orange with clear structure from the tannin and is fuller and more “serious” than the nose suggests. Amongst all this there are notes of all the ripe fruits, berries and flowers that you found on the nose, but to a much more subdued degree, alongside a mild tangerine, peach ice tea and strawberry yogurt notes, very well balanced and long on the palate.
Best served with: Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine, aromatic rice, smoked eggplant
