Crama Delta Dunarii La Sapata Aligote Artisanal Organic White Wine

Crama Delta Dunarii La Sapata Aligote is an organic and artisanal wine, fermented with wild yeast and unfiltered. This wine is produced in the South-East part of Romania in the region called Dobrogea and is considered part of the great wines of the Danube delta. The wine is made 100% with Aligoté grapes which found its 2nd home away from Burgundy in Romania. 

Picked at full maturity early in the morning in mid-September, meticulous sorting in the winery, pressed and 100% spontaneous wild fermentation at 18 degrees. Aged for 5 months on the fine lees and bottled unfiltered. 

Colour: Straw gold with green reflections.

Nose: Lovely youthful scent with crisp citrus, green apples, pears and a floral touch. 

Palate: Aligoté’s high natural acidity results in a crisp and refreshing medium bodied white with abundance of citrus notes, pronounced minerality and great length on the palate. 

Best served with: fish, shellfish and also poultry dishes. 

Recommended serving temperature: 8-10⁰C
