Made from a purely Romanian grape variety, Feteasca Neagra (Black Maiden), the Cotnari Castel Vladoianu Limited Edition offers lovers of intense red wines an experience inspired by tradition. A special edition, made under the guidance and mastery of oenologist Gerge Maluțan, Cotnari Castel Vladoianu displays a unique and complex character, described by delicious fruity aromas.
Typical of the Feteasca Neagra (Black Maiden) variety, the notes of slightly smoked prunes are complemented by those of black cherries, ripe sour cherries, blackberries, blueberries and black currants. The aromas evolve towards tobacco leaf, chocolate and spices (green pepper, cinnamon and allspice) with a grassy, almost minty and extremely pleasant note. The taste attack is delicate but with a strong personality, emphasised by the velvety tannins and the fruity character (blackberries and blackcurrants, followed by notes of black cherries).
The wine will ennoble game dishes, juicy steaks, beef, mutton or goat dishes but also pork, lamb, duck or goose dishes.
Cotnari Castel Vladoianu Limited Edition is also fabulous with aged cheeses. However, in order to fully reveal its bouquet of notes and aromas, the wine is enjoyed at a temperature between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius.
