Every drop of Carpathian single malt starts its life as rainwater in the unexpected nature of the Carpathian mountains, home of the biggest wildlife in Europe.
Carpathian Single Malt is distilled, matured and bottled at the Alexandrion Saber 1789 Distillery, located near the Carpathian Mountains. It is made using 100% malted barley produced in Romania, with sub-Carpathian water, and it is bottled at 46% ABV. The whisky has been under the stewardship of master distiller Allan Anderson, who holds more than 30-years’ experience in Scotch whisky and Irish whiskey distillation.

The Carpathian Vradiano Single Malt Romanian Whisky is part of the Greek & Cypriot wine cask collection. This single malt was finished in 200L oak barrels that previously rested Vradiano Greek wine. Vradiano is a wine that influences whisky with its balanced vanilla notes. Previously, it benefited from a first maturation for three years in American white oak ex-Kentucky bourbon barrels.
Appearance: Clear, intense copper shade
Nose: Medium intensity, with notes of delicate white pepper, oak, vanilla.
Taste: Sweet but slightly salty, balanced, rich
Finish: Long and complex.
