Every drop of Carpathian single malt starts its life as rainwater in the unexpected nature of the Carpathian mountains, home of the biggest wildlife in Europe.
Carpathian Single Malt is distilled, matured and bottled at the Alexandrion Saber 1789 Distillery, located near the Carpathian Mountains. It is made using 100% malted barley produced in Romania, with sub-Carpathian water, and it is bottled at 46% ABV. The whisky has been under the stewardship of master distiller Allan Anderson, who holds more than 30-years’ experience in Scotch whisky and Irish whiskey distillation.

Carpathian Moscatel Single Malt Romanian Whisky, part of the Spanish and Portuguese Cask Collection has matured for over three years in 200L select bourbon casks made of white American oak, then this whisky was transferred to 225L Moscatel barrels where it spent two years supplied by Alexandrion partners in Spain and selected from the best Bodegas.
Appearance: Dark golden colour, clear, good viscosity & oily with long lingering legs on the glass.
Nose: Sweet with notes of dried fruits, vanilla and a hint of spice.
Taste: Full, round, sweet with a final hint of spice.
Finish: Long, lingering and intense.
